The final Thomaston Farmers’ Market Saturday, Oct. 12, will move from its regular location behind Thomaston Academy to the Knox Mansion in conjunction with Montpelier’s Taste of Thomaston celebration. Beginning 9 a.m., farmers will offer the best of their fall harvests to take home and enjoy.

In celebration of a successful first season of Farmers’ Market in Thomaston, the Hynd Family will return to entertain marketgoers. The Hynds were the first of many musical talents to play at market during the 2013 season. The Hynd Family has been playing bluegrass music and guitar in Maine their whole lives, are local favorites and well-known for their musical expertise and mellow musical offerings.

The market will offer apples, winter squashes and other seasonal vegetables, pumpkins, the last of the season juicy tomatoes in all shapes and sizes, crusty breads, farm-raised meats, aged and fresh cheeses, peppers, fresh-cut flowers, jams, sauces, honey, candles, farm fresh milk, candy, cookies, scones, muffins, cakes, herbs, wool and more.
