Maine Made 2013, a consumer show featuring products produced in Maine, will take place at Samoset Resort in Rockport Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The show’s 50 exhibitors will include food producers, artisans, jewelry makers, wineries, and fine furniture makers among others. In addition to samples of foods, jams and sweets, the show will feature wholesome goods from family farms and tastings of Maine-made wines, beers and cheeses. Handmade soaps, jewelry, quilts, art and photography will also be on display.
A mission of Maine Made 2013 is to encourage people to shop locally. The one-day show is co-produced by Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce and Maine Food Producers' Alliance. The State Department of Economic and Community Development is collaborating with producers and sponsors to promote Maine’s small businesses.
Tickets are available at the door — $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, and children younger than 12, free.
