The public is invited to enjoy an evening of “Acrylics: Drinks & Art” Wednesday, Oct. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Hallway Gallery of Ripples Inn at the Harbor, 16 Pleasant St.

The show features more than 15 works dating primarily from the spring, summer and fall of 2013 by artist DiTa (Patricia Ondek).

The exhibition features images of cupcakes delicious, strange and unusual including “Bacon & Egg,” “Chicken Leg,” “Blueberry Whoopie Pie,” “Strawberry Margarita” and “Sex on a Beach.” The show is free and open to the public.

DiTa has worked with watercolors for 15 years and other media (Polaroid transfers and digital photography) with past gallery shows in Texas, Connecticut, Maine, New York and Florida. Recently, she has worked with acrylics in a 6-by-6 inch format, studying with Philip Frey, Bobbi Heath, Irene Plummer and Debra Arter. The Ripples Hallway Gallery is located in the bed-and-breakfast inn owned and operated by Sandi Dillon just steps from Rockland Harbor.  Ripples Inn offers the Rockland community and the general public inviting local artist exhibitions.
