Monohanako Pottery and Ioneta will collaborate in a joint open studio over Columbus Day Weekend at the Monohanako Studio, 534 Shepard Hill Road. Hours will be Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 12 and 13, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This open studio event will feature a selection of new Monohanako pottery pieces for the table alongside an assortment of Ioneta’s vintage indigo textiles, found photography and other pieces for the home from both Japan and Maine. This studio collaboration celebrates the art of living through the use of everyday objects, taking inspiration from Japan and recognizing the heritage and beauty of the handmade.
