The Knox County Health Clinic will once again be offering a three-week workshop on mindfulness practice, beginning Wednesday, Oct. 16 and ending Oct. 30.

Join licensed Clinical Social Worker Anne Cogger in exploring mindfulness tools and techniques which focus awareness in the present moment and assist in increasing physical and emotional well-being. A particular emphasis in this series of introductory group workshops will be on developing qualities of equanimity, compassion and loving kindness.

Sessions will be held downstairs in the Community Room at the Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St., Rockland. Sessions begin at 3 p.m. and end at 4 p.m.

Following each mindfulness session, participants may also take part in free stress reduction programs which begin at 4:15 every Wednesday at the Knox County Health Clinic, 22 White St. (behind the Rockland Public Library). Weekly acupuncture treatments are provided by Eileen Murray, licensed acupuncturist and reflexology is offered by Certified Foot Reflexologist Michele Nettles.

Enrollment is open to all members of the community, but advanced registration is recommended. Please call Michele Mannion, coordinator for the Mental Health and Wellness Program, Knox County Health Clinic for information and scheduling at 594-6993.
