The Stefani Sukeforth Gilman Memorial Ride will be held Saturday, Oct. 5 to benefit a scholarship fund that will go to a graduating Medomak Valley High School senior.

Sukeforth Gilman of Warren lost her battle with cystic fibrosis on Sept. 28, 2009. The ride has been organized because she loved to ride with her husband Terri.

Riders of bikes, cars, street rods, trucks or anything other types of vehicles are invited to participate on a scenic ride from Rockport to Acadia National Park. The cost is $25 per bike or other vehicle. Riders are encouraged to wear something pink in honor of Sukeforth Gilman as that was her favorite color.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the Rockport bowling alley on Route 1. The ride begins at 10 a.m. There will be a rest stop and pick-up location at Searsport Irving and the ride concludes on top of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park.

For a registration form, or to RSVP, email Melissa at or call 975-5279. The ride is rain or shine, unless the rain is extreme and then the ride will be held Sunday, Oct. 6.
