We are up to HERE with delightful, desirable, deserving dogs! Our kennels have never been so full of so many wonderful canines in need of homes where they can love and be loved. If you’ve ever thought of adding a dog — or another dog — to your life, now’s your chance. Let us walk you through this stunning array.

Faith is a darling 9-year-old Rotti/Lab mix with one of the sweetest dispositions we’ve ever had the happiness to encounter. Leeman, our 7-1/2-year-old boxer mix, is an extremely laid-back kind of guy whose favorite pastime is to just lounge around. Quiet little Tacoma, 9 years old and a very mixed breed, really wants someone to rub his belly. Fred, our 4-1/2-year-old pit mix, thinks he looks absolutely the coolest when he is riding around in cars. Shirley, our 2-year-old pit mix, wants to help you walk those trails. And our 4-year-old bluetick hound Cash wants a companion he can talk to.

To help these six wonderful dogs find their fur-ever home, we have reduced all adoption fees to $50! They have all been spayed or neutered and tested for heartworm and are current on vaccines and flea control. Some of these sweethearts have been waiting since July for their special someone to come along. Don’t make them wait any longer. Adopt one today. And to find out more about them, visit pawsadoption.org.

With all these dogs, we also have a great need for dog walkers. Fred loves to take walks and would be thrilled if someone came just for him and took him on an outing. The dogs love to go out rain or shine, so stop by today.

And since we love giving the dogs treats and are getting low on peanut butter — a favorite to go in Kongs and dog treats — we’d appreciate any donations of whatever you can bear not to eat yourself! And we like to fill empty paper towel rolls with goodies for them too, so anything in that line would be very welcome. Thank you.

Many thanks to the anonymous donor who brought us two radio/CD players the other day. Apart from a little squabbling about what kind of tunes to listen to, our creatures have taken to the sound of music totally. What they’re wondering but are too polite to ask is why we’ve waited this long! No matter. Music is in the air.

On our wish list, as always: wet and dry cat food, non-clumping cat litter, paper towels, bleach and laundry detergent. Oh, yes, and peanut butter!

Do dogs have more fun? Stop by and see how popular and active our dog park has become and admire with us the new gazebo to keep you dry in wet weather. Dogs apparently don’t care what the weather is as long as they’re out in it. And then come in and see if we don’t have just the dog for you! You’ll be glad you did. We’re at 146 Camden St. in Rockport and open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Our phone number is 236-8702 and pawsadoption.org is never closed! And thank you, as always, for your caring and support.
