Back by popular demand for an encore performance, the cast of “Rent” will reprise its production of “Rent” Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Waldo Theatre, Main Street/ Route 1.

Cast members hail from as far south as Brunswick to as far north as Belfast. The tight knit ensemble includes Brad Fillion (Mark), Tod Widdecombe (Roger), Mallory Adams (Mimi), Tabitha Ordway (Joanne), Kyle Aarons (Angel), Roger Marcotte (Collins), Cayleigh Hearth (Maureen), Chris Gray (Benny), Phoebe Mendes, Allison Roberts, Justice Kennedy, Michael Juchnik, Rae Cerce, Catie Larie, Patricia Saucier, Merissa Madarasz, Lizz Poulos, Chris Powers, Sabrina Turner and Jenni-Lyn Prescott.

“Rent” offers a late-20th-century retelling of “La Boheme,” written by the late Jonathan Larson. Although details change over the decades, emotions tied to love, death, ambition and art stay the same. During the performances, the Waldo will sell red ribbons for $3 and red bracelets for $5 with monies to be divided evenly between the Hospitality House in Rockland, the Ecumenical Food Pantry in Newcastle and Equity Fights AIDS. The Waldo also will accept donations of non-perishable food and toiletries for the first two beneficiaries.

Tickets are $10, with a portion of the proceeds from each ticket going to Hospitality House, Out! As I Want to Be, Equality Maine and Food Pantry. Those who have already seen the show can get in for a donation if they bring their program or ticket stub. Group rates are available; email to make arrangements or call and leave a message at 832-6060.
