Personalized paver stones for sale
APPLETON — Appleton library exterior has had a recent facelift with paver stones installed by Lamphere & Sons.
Community members are invited to personalize a paver stone with proceeds to benefit the library's general fund.
Stop by the library or email Debby Keiran at kkdji1@gmail.com to request personalization for $25/one name/one paver or $100/five names/five pavers. Requests will be accepted until Oct. 1. For more information, call 785-5656 or visit appletonlibraryme.org.

ROCKPORT — Join Brett Willard from Merryspring Nature Center in the children’s room at the Rockport Public Library to Celebrate the Maine Woods, Thursday Oct. 3, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Animal track identification, leaf rubbings, tree identification, crafts, and stories.

Community chapel fundraiser
ROCKPORT — Rockville Community Chapel Association is having its annual fundraising supper at the Rockport Masonic Center Saturday, Oct. 5, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children (under 10).
The menu consists of hearty beef stew with biscuits and coleslaw with a brownie sundae for dessert.
The association has several donated items to raffled off the evening of the dinner: $25 gift certificates to the Lobster Pound Restaurant and Just Friends Hair Design; 10 pounds of lobsters (donated by Keith Miller and valued at $30); a membership to the Island Institute (valued at $50); a $20 gift certificate to the Thorndike Creamery; Sandy Oliver’s new book “Maine Home Cooking” and a Kathy Lane print.
Proceeds from the dinner will help to pay a loan and continued maintenance of the refurbished chapel, located at 87 Old Rockland Road.
