Waldoboro officers responded to 490 calls for service between Aug. 27 and Sept. 16. Below are a few of the highlights:

Aug. 27

Detective Jason Benefield investigated a report from the Big Apple that they received a counterfeit $20 bill.

Aug. 29

Benefield investigated a crash on Washington Road at 7:43 a.m. Michelle Miller, 43, of Washington was traveling south in her 2003 Ford sedan. As she crested hill, a truck pulled out of a driveway. Miller over-corrected and went off the road into some brush. No injuries were reported.

Aug. 30

Officer Jeffery Fuller investigated a report of theft of some furniture.

Aug. 31

Officer John Lash investigated a report of threatening.

Lash investigated a report of harassment. The subject was found and warned on disorderly conduct.

Sept. 1

Fuller investigated a report of damage to a fence.

Fuller summoned David Sanborn, 54, of Waldoboro for harassment.

Sept. 4

Benefield investigated a report that several items were stolen from a boat (approximate value was $5,286).

Benefield investigated a report of a tire slashed on a vehicle the previous night.

Benefield investigated a report of the theft of medication.

Officer Thomas Bartunek investigated a report of littering of furniture on the Orff’s Corner Road.

Sept. 5

Benefield and Sgt. Jamie Wilson arrested Ricky Real, 37, of Waldoboro for violation of a protective order.

Sept. 7

Fuller summoned Michelle Etheridge, 29, of Bristol for operating after suspension.

Sept. 8

Lash arrested Anthony Feltis, 27, of Waldoboro for domestic violence assault.

Fuller investigated a report from the Big Apple of a gasoline drive off.

Sept. 9

Bartunek investigated a report of the theft of a small boat from a property.

Sept. 10

Chief William Labombarde investigated a report of items taken from a residence.

Sept. 11

Benefield investigated a report of the theft of a handbag from a vehicle.

Sept. 13

Wilson investigated a threatening complaint.

Sept. 14

Lash investigated a report that someone threw a rock through a garage window.

Lash arrested Anthony Feltis, 27, of Waldoboro for a violation of conditional release.

Sept. 15

Fuller investigated a three-car crash at the intersection of Bremen Road and Main Street at 9:25 a.m. Janice Goodnow, 72, of Union was driving a 2013 Ford pickup truck when she failed to yield the right of way to Angie Lash, 34, of Friendship. Lash's 2004 Ford pickup truck collided with Goodnow, pushing Goodnow into Richard Bewell, 54, of Bremen, who was stopped at the intersection in his 2002 Subaru sedan.  A 6-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries.

Fuller investigated a report of a 15-foot boat that was turned over with the motor still attached.

Fuller investigated a report of threatening.

Wilson investigated a report from Hannaford that a young girl dropped a marijuana pipe, picked it up and ran out of the store. They also believe she may have taken some items from the store.

Wilson investigated a report that some kids were playing and throwing rocks at the Friendship Street Headstart. There was no apparent damage.

Lash investigated a complaint of suspicious activity involving some young people roaming the downtown area.

Sept. 16

Fuller investigated a complaint from the Friendship Street Headstart of damage to the playground and a shed being broke into.

Fuller investigated a report from Storer Lumber of the theft of shingles.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
