The First Universalist Church, 345 Broadway, will host another Evening with Grownups, this one dubbed Exploring Ethics, Values, and Relationships Through Film and Discussion, Saturday, Sept. 28.

This kickoff to a monthly film and discussion series for adults will feature the movie “Benny and Joon.” Released in 1993, this movie features a start-studded cast including Johnny Depp, Mary Stuart Masterson, Aidan Quinn, Julianne Moore and Oliver Platt. It explores the role of the caretaker in a family forever changed by tragedy and challenges perceptions of normal.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. with a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., there will be a pre-viewing activity; the movie will be shown at 6:30 p.m., with a discussion to follow.  Donations will be accepted to cover the cost of this evening of food, fellowship and fun.
