Drivers age 50 and over are invited to attend a half-day AARP Driver Safety Course Monday, Oct. 7, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill in Camden.
AARP course instructor Paul Sheridan will cover vision and hearing changes, effects of medication, reaction-time changes, left turns and other right-of-way situations, new laws, and traffic hazards. No actual driving is required.
Upon successfully completing the course, drivers may be eligible to receive a state-mandated multi-year discount on their auto insurance premiums.
Seating is limited; please call 230-6114 to make a reservation. Attendees will be asked to pay $14 ($12 for AARP members) at the door to cover instruction and materials.
