Washington Fire Department public dinner
WASHINGTON — A public dinner will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Washington Fire Department. There will be turkey, roast beef, basked beans, casseroles, pies and more. The cost is $8 adults, $4 children. The dinner is sponsored by the Washington Fire Department Auxiliary.
New Hope for Women to offer volunteer crisis hotline training
ROCKLAND — New Hope for Women, offering support to victims of domestic violence, dating violence and stalking in Sagadahoc, Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties, will be holding a 40-hour training session for volunteers interested in working on the 24-hour hotline.

PORT CLYDE — The Port Clyde Advent Christian Church extends an invitation to the public to join the congregation for its annual open air Sunday worship service Church on the Dock to be held Sunday, Sept. 22, at 11 a.m. on the Monhegan Boat Line dock in Port Clyde.
Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous
Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is offering a free information session Saturday, Oct. 5, at 8:30 a.m. at the Knox Center, 6 White St., Rockland for anyone in the community who may be suffering from overeating, food obsession, under-eating, or bulimia. Everyone is welcome, including those who are concerned about someone who may be suffering. FA is a nonprofit Twelve Step fellowship based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.
