The Thomaston Public Library will be beginning read aloud time aimed at the slightly older 8 to 12 age group.

“We would like to invite families of all ages to come and listen and draw story boards of the story as we read along,” said Assistant Librarian Joanna Hynd.

The story hour will be kicking off with "The One and Only Ivan," the most recent Newbery award winning novel. Starting Sept. 25, at 3 p.m., the plan is to have every Wednesday after school be a time to read more of the novel and share reviews of other novels.

The Thomaston Public Library is located at 60 Main St. Thomaston in the old academy building. Parking and entrance are at the rear.
