Maine Water Company is continuing water main work on Camden Street.
The work — to be done one service line crossing at a time — has started near the Circle K gas station and will progress south.
According Rick Knowlton, vice president of operations with the water company, the work being done by George C. Hall will reduce traffic to two lanes. Several areas will need to be excavated across the road.
The new water main from McDonald's to the front of Breakwater Marketplace is projected to start the week of Sept. 11, Knowlton said in a press release.
