Adults age 55-plus are invited to attend Common Drug Interactions, a free educational program Monday, Sept. 9, 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Anderson Inn at Quarry Hill in Camden. The event is part of Quarry Hill’s Going Strong series on topics related to senior health.
Nurse practitioner Sandra Cadwell, of Quarry Hill’s Senior Living Physician Practice, will discuss potential interactions involving commonly prescribed pharmaceuticals. She will also offer tips on addressing medication concerns with physicians.
Cadwell joined the Senior Living Physician Practice in 2012. Her presence has magnified the benefits of the inhouse primary-care service, including swifter response to emergent medical concerns, fewer hospitalizations and reduced healthcare costs. A majority of Quarry Hill’s nursing-care residents and many of its assisted living and independent living residents have chosen the practice as their primary care provider.
Admission to Cadwell’s presentation is free, however seating is limited, and registration is required. To sign up, call Quarry Hill at 230-6114 or email qhinfo@penbayhealthcare.org.
