The annual Harvest of the Arts will be held at Sunday, Sept. 8, at 2 p.m. at the Union Meeting House on Sennebec Road, rain or shine. Those wish to participate or volunteer are encouraged to call Jan Janville at 785-4188.

Year after year, the work and performances at Appleton Historical Society's annual Harvest of the Arts has delighted those who attend. There will be work by visual artists from Appleton; readings of the works of Appleton writers and poets; and music performed by Appleton musicians.

Again this year, Appleton Historical Society is holding a 50/50 Benefit Raffle: half of the proceeds from the sale of tickets will go the person whose name is drawn at the annual AHS Benefit Auction Monday, Dec. 2; and the balance will go to benefit Appleton Historical Society. Tickets will be on sale at the Harvest of the Arts for $1, six for $5. Anyone wishing to purchase tickets should call 785-2040. Last year's winner received more than $400.
