Greg Dorr will speak on his two-week trek along El Camino de Santiago, the historic route of the pilgrims in northwestern Spain at the September meeting of the Appleton Historical Society.
The meeting will be held Monday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Union Meeting House.
The business portion of the meeting will begin at 7 p.m., and the evening's program by 7:30. Light refreshments will be served after the program.
Cleanwoods portable toilet facilities will be in place behind the meeting house for this event.
Bring a neighbor, remind a friend.
Again this year, the Appleton Historical Society is holding a 50/50 Benefit Raffle. Half of the proceeds from the sale of tickets will go the person whose name is drawn at the Annual AHS Benefit Auction, to be held Monday, Dec. 2. The balance of the proceeds will benefit Appleton Historical Society. Tickets will be on sale at the September meeting. Anyone wishing tickets, please call 785-2040. The cost is $1 per ticket, or six tickets for $5. Last year's winner received more than $400.
