The Thomaston Recreation Department invites senior citizens from Thomaston and surrounding communities to participate in its newly-restructured Senior Program that now offers monthly potluck luncheons, monthly interactive learning sessions, and various bus, boat, and rail trips throughout the year.

The monthly interactive learning sessions are held on the first Tuesday of each month. In September, local business owner, Mim Bird, from Over the Rainbow Yarn will give various knitting and crocheting demonstrations that one can easily pick up as their own Do It Yourself project.

In October, a speaker from the Henry Knox Museum and Mansion will give a talk on the esteemed general and his contribution to the country and community.

Sessions are held at the Rocky Coast Home located on Booker Street in Thomaston at 10 a.m. Seniors from all communities are welcome.
