“On the Edge,” a one-act performance art play by Eva Murray of Matinicus, will be presented Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30 and 31, at 8 p.m. at the Neighborhood House, 1 Kimball Road.
Written by well-known author and columnist, with paintings by Philip Steel, the play will feature fourth-generation commercial fisherman and former Maine state senator Dennis Damon; and will tell the story of life on Maine's 15 year-round island communities. Rob Snyder, president of the Island Institute in Rockland, will provide additional context about Maine's island and remote coastal communities following each performance.
The suggested donation for "On the Edge" is $10, $6 for those younger than 17. For more information, contact the Neighborhood House at 276-5039.
