The Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to 290 calls for service Aug. 11-17.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Aug. 11

Following a traffic stop in Warren, Sgt. John Palmer issued a summons for operating motor vehicle without a license.

Following a traffic stop in Friendship, Deputy Paul Spear arrested Gordon Simmons, 48, of Warren on charges of operating after suspension and on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Following a traffic stop in Washington, Deputy Spear issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Palmer, along with several other deputies, responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in St. George. This was a fatal crash.

Deputy Lance Mitchell arrested Bryan Perkins, 25, of Cushing on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Deputies Arthur Smith and Sgt. James Moore responded to a report of a burglary in Warren. This is still an active investigation.

Aug. 12

Deputy Matt Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Detective Don Murray responded to a report of a burglary in Warren. This is still an active investigation.

Murray responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Michael Sprague responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Mitchell conducted a radar detail in South Thomaston. Two warnings for speed were issued.

Mitchell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in South Thomaston involving two vehicles. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Moore began an investigation of threatening in South Thomaston. The male suspect was located and issued a warning on harassment and trespass.

Mitchell responded to assist Thomaston Police Department units at the scene of a domestic.This is a Thomaston case.

Deputies Mitchell and Smith responded to a report of a domestic in Cushing. Subsequent to this response, Ranae Robbins, 42, of Camden was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault.

Aug. 13

Sprague responded to a report of a theft in Warren. The suspect was not arrested, but has been warned on trespass at the location of the theft. The stolen item was returned.

Sprague and Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle. Upon arrival, it was found that the accident was in Waldoboro and several units were already on scene.

Smith conducted a radar detail in Union. Two warnings were issued.

Aug. 14

Detective Dwight Burtis and Lt. Kirk Guerrette responded to a report of a domestic in Union. Upon arrival and after speaking to the subjects involved, this was deemed a verbal argument only.

Deputies Spear, Sgt. Palmer, Lt. Guerrette, Detective Lt. Reginald Walker and Detective Don Murray responded to a report of a robbery in Union. Subsequent to this response, Paul Milardo, 40, of Thomaston and David Williams, 24, of Connecticut were arrested on charges of robbery, theft, stealing drugs and aggravated assault. Both men were transported to the Knox County Jail.

Murray arrested Chassedy Foster, 31, of Newcastle on an outstanding arrest warrant. she was currently incarcerated at the Knox County Jail on unrelated charges.

Moore arrested Danielle Reed, 35, of Friendship on an outstanding arrest warrant. She was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Aug. 15

Deputy Paul Pinkham began an investigation of theft in Owls Head. This case is cleared as the stolen item was located.

Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident in Friendship involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Palmer responded to assist Lincoln County Sheriff's Office in locating an erratic vehicle. The vehicle was located in Thomaston and the operator was issued a warning on his driving habits.

Aug. 16

Deputies Elwell, Spear and Sgt. Palmer responded to a report of a loud party in Appleton. The party was shut down after several summons were issued to those drinking under the legal age, along with the property owner receiving a summons for furnishing alcohol to minors.

Potter began an investigation of theft on Vinalhaven. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Pinkham conducted a radar detail in St. George. No violations were noted.

Pinkham responded to a trespassing complaint in South Thomaston. The male suspects were located and issued a warning for same.

Potter began an investigation of theft on North Haven. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Following a traffic stop in Warren, Spear arrested Matheiu Poulin, 37, of Randolph on charges of violating condition of release, operating after suspension, and on an outstanding arrest warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Elwell and Sgt. Moore conducted a county-wide operating under the influence detail. Subsequent to this detail, Martin Link, 41, of Cushing was arrested on charges of OUI and operating after suspension. He was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Aug. 17

Potter responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Vinalhaven involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Pinkham conducted a radar detail in St. George. Four summons were issued for various traffic infractions.

Mitchell conducted a radar detail in Appleton. No violations were noted.

Mitchell began an investigation of theft in Union. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Smith arrested Sydni Barham, 25, of Rockport on an outstanding arrest warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Palmer responded to a report of a disorderly male in Warren. The male was located and issued a warning for same.

Smith responded to a report of an adult female making threats of harming herself in Tenants Harbor. The female was located and transported to Pen Bay Medical Center for an evaluation.

Deputies John Hansen and Paul Simonetti conducted an underage drinking detail in Union at the fairgrounds. Subsequent to this detail, five minors were summoned for alcohol-related offenses, one minor summoned for possession of marijuana and two minors were charged with administrative OUI.

Palmer responded to assist Rockland Police Department Officers in locating a male involved in a domestic. The male was located and transported to the Knox County Jail where he was turned over to the Rockland Police Department. This is a Rockland case.

Moore arrested Joseph Brann, 18, of Waldoboro on a charge of OUI and violating condition of release. He was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Following a traffic stop in Thomaston, Spear arrested Derick Winslow, 23, of Waldoboro on charges of operating after suspension, violating condition of release, and on an outstanding arrest warrant. He was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.
