LIFE (Living in Freedom Everyday) Ministry will be sponsoring a lawn sale on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 22 Lindsey St. The proceeds will be going toward the mission of the ministry of transitioning community members toward living in freedom.

The ministry is looking for any donations of lawn sale items — large or small.  They are looking for furniture, household items, lawn and garden items, artwork, winter items, children’s toys, etc.

All donations can be dropped off at 22 Lindsey St., Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The volunteers will also pick up any items. Please call Tanja Barbour at 542-4419 or LIFE House at 593- 7973.

One young lady partnered with LIFE Ministry while she was still in the jail by attending the Saturday night meetings. She transitioned from jail into an apartment funded by LIFE Ministry.

“When I came into the program, I had nothing but a handful of clothes from the crisis center. Now I have everything. I have a support system, clothes, food, a job and I have established housing as I move on. It gave me a roof over my head so I could get a job. I have friends and sobriety now. It is such a positive atmosphere — I see it all around. The encouragement is amazing.”
