The “Diary of a Wimpy Kid Book 8” Mobile will make a stop Friday, Aug. 23, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Owl & Turtle Bookshop, 33 Bay View St. Author Jeff Kinney will not be aboard, but there will be free “Wimpy Kid” book trailers and photo taking for email and text.
In Kinney's latest addition to the “Wimpy Kid: series, Greg Heffley is on a losing streak. His best friend, Rowley Jefferson, has ditched him, and finding new friends in middle school is proving to be tough. To change his fortunes, Greg decides to take a leap of faith and turn his decisions over to chance. Will a roll of the dice turn things around, or is Greg’s life destined to be just another hard-luck story?
