The Waldoboro Public Library wrapped up its Bikes for Books reading incentive program  Aug. 10 with the winning tickets drawn by the Most Worshipful Grand Master of Masons of Maine, A. James Ross, during the Waldoboro Fire Department’s 175th anniversary parade.

Winning bikes and helmets were Phebe Fortier, Emily and Cassidy Prock, Colby and Logan Bennett, and Sophia Harvey.

During the program, readers received a raffle ticket for every five picture books or two chapter books read. The more books read, the better the chances of winning. Not only did these kids receive new bikes, but they read lots of good books this summer.

King Solomon's Lodge of Masons of Waldoboro sponsored the program, and the Movie/Pizza Shoppe of Waldoboro and Lou Abbotoni donated the bikes and helmets.
