The Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to 281 calls for service from July 18 to Aug. 3.

Following a traffic stop in Union, Deputy Michael Sprague arrested Travis Merrifield, 23, of Union on a charge of operating under the influence. He was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Sgt. James Moore responded to assist Rockport Police Department Officer Robert Shaw at the scene of a traffic stop. Subsequent to this response, Donna Ward, 59, of Rockport was arrested on a charge of OUI. She was taken to the Knox County jail without incident.

Sgt. John Palmer responded to assist Rockport Police Department Officer Shaw at the scene of a domestic. This is a Rockport Police Department case.

Deputy Robert Potter responded to a motor vehicle crash on Vinalhaven involving two vehicles. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Paul Pinkham conducted a radar detail in Friendship. No violations were noted.

Pinkham began a harassment investigation in Warren. The suspect in this case will be issued a warning for same via Waldoboro Police Department.

Sprague responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver heading toward Warren. The vehicle and operator were located by Rockport Police Department.

After a traffic stop in St. George, Deputy John Hansen issued a summons for operating without a license.

Sprague issued a summons for cultivating marijuana in Warren.

Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in St. George involving a single vehicle. The operator was issued a summons for failure to maintain control of motor vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Sprague began a theft investigation in Union. This is still an active investigation with one suspect named.

Following a traffic stop in Warren, Sprague arrested Jennifer Dyer, 30, of Warren on a charge of operating without a license.

Moore arrested Jacob Graffam-Connors, 33, of Searsport on an outstanding arrest warrant. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Sprague conducted a radar detail in Appleton. No violations were noted.

Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Union involving a single vehicle striking a building. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Arthur Smith began a harassment investigation in Warren. The suspect was located and issued a warning for same.

Lt. Kirk Guerrette began a harassment investigation in Warren. The suspect will be issued a warning via Waldoboro Police Department once located.

Deputy Lance Mitchell began a theft investigation in Friendship. This is still an active investigation with no suspects or leads at this time.

Potter began a burglary investigation on Vinalhaven. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Palmer conducted a radar detail in St. George. No violations were noted.

Following a traffic stop in Friendship, Palmer issued a summons for speed and operating on an intermediate license after hours.

Palmer arrested Herbert Simmons Jr., 32, of Cushing on charges of violating conditions of release and operating motor vehcile after revocation. He was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Potter responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Vinalhaven involving a single vehicle. The operator has yet to be located.

Pinkham and Detective Justin Twitchell responded to a motor vehicle crash in Union involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Smith arrested Lawrence Wotton-Thayer, 26, of Lewiston on two outstanding arrest warrants. Subject was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Rockport involving a single vehicle. Subsequent to this response, Lerman Thompson, 67, of Camden was charged with OUI.

Elwell conducted a radar detail in Owls Head. One warning for speed and one summons for inspection were issued.

Mitchell conducted a radar detail in Appleton. No violations were noted.

Palmer conducted a radar detail in Cushing. No violations were noted.

Elwell, Mitchell and Sgt. Palmer responded to an underage drinking party in Warren. Six minors and two juveniles were summoned for illegal possession of alcohol.

Mitchell and Palmer responded to a report of a domestic in Hope. Subsequent to this response, Sean Robinson, 32, of Hope was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and criminal mischief. He was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Minor personal injury and reportable damage sustained

Pinkham, Hansen and Guerrette responded to a report of two disorderly males in St. George. Upon arrival and after speaking to the subjects involved, the problem was rectified and no charges were sought.

Subsequent to a traffic stop in Rockport, Spear issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Hansen, Elwell and Guerrette conducted a countywide OUI detail. Three OUI arrests were made.

Spear arrested Karrie Prior, 22, of Tenants Harbor on an outstanding arrest warrant. She was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Following a traffic stop in Hope, Elwell issued a summons for speed.

Deputies Mitchell, Guerrette and Palmer responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Appleton. Subsequent to this response, Natalia Ludwig, 22, of Washington was arrested on a charge of OUI. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Mitchell responded to a report of a 911 hang-up in South Thomaston. Upon arrival, it was found that this was a verbal argument only. Following this response, Ann Marie Hamblen, 41, of  South Thomaston was arrested on a charge of violating condition of release. He was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Palmer conducted a radar detail in Union. One warning for speed was issued.

Deputies Curt Andrick and Moore conducted a countywide underage drinking detail. No violations were noted.

Spear responded to a report of an ATV accident in St. George. This case was turned over to the Warden Service.

Following a traffic stop in Union, Sprague arrested Tracy Washburn, 34, of Palermo for OUI. Subject was taken to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Mitchell and Palmer responded to a report of a domestic in Union. Subsequent to this response, George King, 53, of Union was arrested on charges of domestic violence assault and VCR. Subject was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.
