Barbara Ernst Prey will sign a new print release of her iconic painting “Hydrangeas” Saturday, Aug. 10, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Blue Water Fine Arts, Main Street/Route 131. Sales of the print will benefit the Salvation Army. She also will sign “Barbara Ernst Prey: An American View.”

A study for the original painting is currently on view in Prey’s annual exhibit “East Meets West” at Blue Water Fine Arts through August. Another painting of Maine Walker’s Point, which hung in the White House for eight years, is included in office of the First Lady at the Presidential Library and Center. She was invited by President George W. Bush and Laura Bush to paint the official White House Christmas card in 2003.
