McKeary named managing editor at Maine Authors Publishing

Cheryl McKeary has been promoted to managing editor of Maine Authors Publishing & Cooperative

McKeary will oversee the trade catalog production, the editing team as well as the development of the new “Rent-a-Publicist” program, which targets effective and affordable ways to promote independent books in Maine.

McKeary lives in Washington and has been with the company since 2010 as the marketing and media specialist. Her roll in the company since its near inception has been creative and transformative: developing the company’s website, author websites, e-Books uploads, establishing the company as an Amazon vendor and negotiating higher rates of returns for authors. Along with her roll as a media specialist, she has worked closely with the company’s consulting editor, Genie Dailey (and a team of editors) to create and maintain a new standard of editorial excellence for self-published books.
