Brigitte Gautschi will present a program on hand analysis Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m. at the Lincolnville Community Library.

Gautschi is a member of the International Institute of Hand Analysis and has trained through the institute in Switzerland. She uses hand reading interpretation plus fingerprint analysis to examine a person’s life from a “life’s purpose” perspective. Questions she might address include: What lifestyle or career will bring you the deepest meaning and fulfillment? What must you learn from your life experience in order to find such fulfillment? Where are you now and what is your next step?

According to the institute, which was founded in 1985 by Richard Unger, hand analysis is the modern form of the ancient art of palmistry. While palmistry was used to foretell the future from the lines in a person’s palm, hand analysis seeks to further self-understanding through an examination of a person’s entire hand.

There will be plenty of time for discussion following the talk. The library is located at the corner of Heal Road and Main Street in Lincolnville Center. For more information, email fireweed@tidewater.net.
