How many colors are in a strand of hair? What does the inside of my belly button look like? How does Velcro work?

On Wednesday, Aug. 14, visitors to the Coastal Children’s Museum can answer these questions by looking a little closer at the museum’s monthly MicroShow!

From 11 a.m. to noon, Megan Rogers, Outreach and Program coordinator, will lead a show and tell session with our brand new Scope on a Rope from STR Science and Technology Resources.

The museum acquired this piece of kid-friendly scientific equipment through a grant from Time Warner Cable’s Connect a Million Minds philanthropic initiative which serves to reignite students’ interest in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields of study through creative expression and innovation.

This workshop is included in the normal price of admission and no registration is required. For more information visit coastalchildrensmuseum.org.
