Vose Library, Union’s community library, offers its annual Book and Bake Sale on the Common Saturday Aug. 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Held rain or shine, in the old garage next to the post office, the huge sale has used books for every interest, from the latest contemporary fiction to works of philosophy, by way of books on history, poetry, cooking, gardening, travel and much, much more.
The large selection of children’s books is one of the biggest draws, bringing children and parents to read and choose. Audiobooks and DVDs are also on sale. Shoppers can buy a cup of coffee and a delicious homebaked treats at the bake table, and settle in for a morning’s book browsing.
This popular sale is organized by Vose Library volunteers, and all proceeds benefit the library.
