Owls Head artist Bob Besaw has been active in the Midcoast art scene for more than 40 years. A show of 18 Midcoast images, from the 1990s to the present, will open with a First Friday reception Aug. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Endeavour Home, located at 415 Main St.

Illustrating books and magazines, delving into the world of graphic arts and photography and depicting life and times in Maine, Besaw's artwork has become familiar throughout New England and beyond.
