Sue Reed, whose work is built up in bold, colorful, and sweeping layers, will be the Artist of the Month in August at Camden Public Library. The public is invited to an opening reception for the artist Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 6 p.m. in the downtown library’s Picker Room.
Reed, who lives in Rockland, has more than 20 years of experience creating, marketing, working on commissions and working with designers, architects and the public. She also creates jewelry as Woman On Fire Designs, available locally at Michael Good Gallery in Rockland.
“My work is dedicated to revealing what may be hidden. I feel that so much of life is ‘veiled’ … I’m hoping to draw the viewer into the many layers of my work and to open up what is within and without,” Reed’ said.
