Washington artist Tania Amazeen-Jones' design was selected in the Union Fair poster contest and appears on the 2013 posters now displayed all around the area. Amazeen-Jones also designed last year’s poster, which was awarded the Outstanding Large Fair Most Adorable Logo by the Maine Association of Agricultural Fairs.

Her 2013 design was selected by the fair's Board of Trustees from among numerous entries, and the artist was presented with a check for $500 and a framed poster. The posters are available for $10 framed, $5 unframed, by contacting poster coordinator George Gross at njmoxie1@verizon.net to reserve copies. Pre-ordered posters may be picked up at the Matthews Museum, on the fairgrounds, once arrangements have been made.

Framed and unframed posters will also be available during fair week at the Blueberry Acres building.  The 2013 Union Fair will open Saturday, Aug. 17, to run through Saturday, Aug. 24. One of the oldest fairs in the state, Union Fair represents Lincoln, Knox and Waldo counties and hosts the State of Maine Wild Blueberry Festival.
