Staci Coomer, executive director of the Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce has been appointed as president of the Midcoast Chamber Council for the 2014 fiscal year.
The MidCoast Chamber Council is a regional alliance of eight Chambers of Commerce of the Midcoast region of Maine from Bath-Brunswick to Searsport. The region is defined by the Maine Office of Tourism, and the Midcoast region works closely with the MOT and the other seven tourism regions across the state.
The Midcoast Chamber Council is lead by directors of the individual Chambers of Commerce and works on projects related to promoting the region, lending power and breadth to each individual effort. The council produces materials for tourism kiosks, does online and print advertising, produces the Maine’s Midcoast See Life! Publication, administers the regional website mainesmidcoast.com, and keeps the Maine Office of Tourism abreast of major happenings in the region.
