Sixteen excellent Midcoast chefs and caterers will contribute their culinary talents to the 2013 Merryspring Kitchen Tour Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In each of the home kitchens featured on the tour, a chef will be on hand to serve visitors tastings of his or her cuisine — making this event an opportunity to sample the fare from a wide array of the area’s newest restaurants and caterers, as well as many well-known favorites.

This year's Kitchen Tour chefs are: Laura Cabot of Laura Cabot Catering, Waldoboro; Peter Gelman of Cappy's Bakery, Camden; Lynette & Larry Platt of The Market Basket, Rockport; Josh Hixson of 40 Paper, Camden; Michael Salmon of Hartstone Inn, Camden; Kerry Altiero of Café Miranda, Rockland; Jennifer Thieme of Blue Sky Cantina, Rockport; Shirley Marriner of French & Brawn, Camden; Patricia Moroz of Starlight Custom Cakes, Rockport; Anna Sideris of Conscious Kitchen, Camden; Brian O'Neil of Hatchet Mountain Publick House, Hope; Nick Krunkkala of FOG, Rockland; Sean and Tracey Beaudry of The Highlands Coffee House, Thomaston; Brian Granims of Vincent's at the Whitehall Inn, Camden; Brad Purdy of the Inn at Sunrise Point, Lincolnville; Lani Stiles of Megunticook Market, Camden
