The Farnsworth Art Museum will present A Conversation with Jamie Wyeth Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 5:30 p.m. at the Strand Theatre, 345 Main St. The program is held in conjunction with the exhibition “Every Picture Tells a Story — N.C. Wyeth Illustrations from the Brandywine River Museum” on display at the museum’s Wyeth Center through Dec. 29.
Farnsworth Chief Curator Michael K. Komanecky will talk with Jamie Wyeth about his thoughts on his grandfather N.C. Wyeth, as an illustrator and painter; the challenge of doing book illustrations, which Jamie also has done; and the influence N.C. has had on his own work.
The fee is $20, $15 for museum members; tickets will only be sold through the Strand box office. For more information or to make a reservation, call 594-0070 or visit rocklandstrand.com. This program is made possible in part by Mr. and Mrs. Louis Cabot, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Campbell, Cascade Foundation, Barbara and Peter F. McSpadden, Ms. Joyce Tenneson, Dr. and Mrs. Frederick E. Varricchio and Anonymous donors.
