Maine Coast Artist Gallery will open “Flowers by the Sea," featuring the work of 20 local area artists and fine craftsmen with the theme of flowers and garden art, during Fr4iendship Day weekend. The artist's reception will be held Friday, July 26, from 4 to 7 p.m. with refreshments and live music at the gallery, located in the village center.
The exhibit dovetails with the theme of Friendship Day, Saturday, July 27; and will be included on the Friendly Garden Tour Saturday, Aug. 10, including an open flower arrangement design invitational inspired by the paintings. “Flowers by the Sea" includes oil, watercolor and acrylic paintings, photographs, drawings, pottery, custom design clothing and accessories, jewelry, glass and more.
