In honor of its 175th anniversary, Rockland Congregational Church has produced a “Heavenly Delights” cookbook, printed by Morris Press Cookbooks, available for $12. Proceeds will benefit the church’s Kitchen Fund.

Members of the church, their friends and family compiled their tastiest tried-and-true recipes into a single book to be treasured for generations to come. “Heavenly Delights” contains 300 recipes, everything from appetizers to desserts. Each recipe includes the contributor’s name, so it is easy to find the recipes of friends and loved ones.

Included are prize-winning recipes from the Maine Lobster Festival and a six-time champion State of Maine blueberry pie contest. Many of the recipes share origins and memories, and a This and That section offers recipes and traditions to share with children.

The cookbooks are available at the church, 180 Limerock St.; and will be sold Friday, Aug. 2, at the Reading Corner on Main Street. They also may purchased by calling Sharon Sallinen, 230-0036; or Liz Glover at the church office, 594-8656.
