Rockland District High School class of 1988's reunion will take place Saturday, Aug. 3, from 6 to 11 p.m. at Rockport Masonic Center, 362 Main St., Rockport. There will be food, cash bar, raffles, gifts, music, dancing and plenty of memories.

For everyone coming in from out of town — remember Saturday is the Lobster Festival Parade. Nothing says old home week than sitting on Main Street watching the parade. Then relax so you will be ready to have a great night with your classmates!

The cut off for RSVPs is fast approaching and organizers need to have a head count to ensure everyone has the best night possible. For those submitting an RSVP before Wednesday, July 24, the cost is $35 per single and $70 per couple. Checks should be mailed no later than July 22.

So what happens after the cut off date? Attendees can pay at the door but it needs to be cash — exact change appreciated — no checks, no debit or credit, just the green stuff. And, the cost is $5 more per person. (Single$40/couple $80.) Those planning to attend and pay at the door should RSVP as soon as possible on the Facebook page RDHS Class of 1988 or email so a name tag can be created at ready at the door as well as numbers of attendees updated.

Checks should be payable to Saxon Moreau and sent to 17 Mortland Road, Searsport, ME 04974, or to Kim Peabody and sent to 207 Main St. North, Searsmont, ME 04973.
