Abbie Williams is showing her paintings this month at Archipelago, the gift shop of the Island Institute on Main Street.

All the pieces on display are glimpses into an artist’s perception of life along the coast of Maine and the Island of Monhegan. Traditionally trained as a painter, Williams has spent most of her life painting and living along the coast of Maine and is continually inspired by the challenges the local environment presents.

The artist’s studio and gallery in Damariscotta Mills also is open to the public. For more information, call Archipelago at 596-0701; email Williams at awms46@tidewater.net; visit abbiewilliamsstudio.com; or look for her Facebook page.
