Friends of the Thomaston Public Library presents its Friday Night Film Series with screenings weekly at 7 p.m. in the community room of Thomaston Public Library in the Thomaston Academy Building, 60 Main St./Route 1. July features Woody Allen films.

The July 19 film is "Annie Hall," a 1977 movie that is 93 minutes long. Winner of four Oscars — including Best Picture and Best Actress — director Allen's iconic romantic comedy charts the relationship between neurotic writer Alvy Singer (Allen) and quirky aspiring singer Annie Hall, played by Diane Keaton. The film also stars Tony Roberts, Christopher Walken and Colleen Dewhurst.

Friday Night Films are open to the public and free of charge, but donations are gratefully accepted. Light refreshments will be served. The Thomaston Academy building is handicapped accessible from the rear entrance. For more information, call the library at 354-2453.
