The Port Clyde Art Gallery will feature Jan Lipson's show of new works, “Ispirazione,” Thursday, July 18, through Aug. 5, with a reception Friday, July 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

“Ispirazione” was born from a year filled with an array of interesting experiences. In Aspen, Colo., Lipson attended the Aspen Festival of Ideas. In Washington, D.C., her studies at the university were inspirational. In Florence, Italy, the study of the classical artists catalyzed her works. Lipson is a summer resident of Port Clyde who lives in Washington, D.C., the rest of the year.

The gallery also represents member artists Lowell “Si” Sibole, furniture; Gil Coyle, pen and ink drawings of animals, etchings, monotypes and assemblages; Jan Dearborn, plein air oil landscapes; Erik Amundsen, hand-thrown stoneware pottery; Gena Neilson, multimedia; Gillian N. Sloat, oils; Rick Bernard, sculpture; Amy Cornell, landscapes in oil; C. Yager, still life, landscape, watercolor and collage; Marianne Swittlinger, paintings, mixed media and jewelry; and Gayle Bedigian, pottery.

The Port Clyde Art Gallery is located in the barn at the Seaside Inn, across from the General Store. It is open Thursdays through Mondays from noon to 6 p.m.
