Interested in local history? On Tuesday July 16, meet at the Hope Historical Home and museum at479 Camden Street, Route 105 at 2:30 p.m. to carpool to Searsmont.

Why Searsmont? Because it’s a town much like Hope in many ways, and because their historical society has achieved striking results in the last few years. Norman Withey and other SHS members will explainwhat they have done and how they have done it.

Following the Searsmont visit, participants will return to the Hope home for a picnic supper. Beverages provided but, otherwise, it is a potluck. Bring sandwiches or a cold dish to share.
