Rockport Public Library will present a Summer at the Movies series for children, a free family-fun program the second and fourth Wednesday nights of July and August at the library, 1 Limerock St. The screenings will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m.

The library’s children's room will turn into a movie theater thanks to state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment. Popcorn will be provided. Due to licensing agreement, the library cannot publicize the names of the films; call 236-3642 to find out what is playing July 10 and 24; and Aug. 14 and 28.

Registration is requested for this program. Parents who do not plan to stay with their child(ren) for the screening will be asked to sign them in and out and leave a phone number where the parents can be reached for the duration of the movie.
