Maine Water Company announced June 27 that it plans to continue to install a new water main on Camden Street (Route 1) from Maverick Street heading north to Fales Street.

On Monday July 1, beginning around 7 p.m., water service along this section of Camden Street will be interrupted briefly to allow the installation of new valves. Water service will be restored around midnight.

Work on the new water main should begin Monday, July 8 and take approximately three weeks to complete. Traffic will be affected and will be reduced to one lane on Camden Street at times.

This water main replacement project is being completed as part of the company’s infrastructure replacement program.
