Everyone is invited to meet renowned artist Gary Akers, an American master painter in egg tempera and watercolor, Thursday through Sunday, July 4 through 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Green Schoolhouse. The studio is a charming restored one-room Finnish school, located two miles down the St. George peninsula on Route 131.

Akers will present 12 new giclée and limited edition prints signed by the artist in an edition of only 100. Giclée prints have the look and feel of an original since the inks goes deep into the paper, giving the print more depth and detail. Besides the print edition, these images also will be available as several artist proofs, the first prints to be printed.

Akers will be available to sign the prints and, on request, to personalize them with an remarque, an original handpainted watercolor in the border of the print, which adds collector value.

Akers painting "Morning Sail" (prints available) was accepted into the annual New York exhibition of the American Watercolor Society, the most prestigious watercolor society in the world. Akers is a signature member of the AWS. For more information, call (859) 391-2153 or visit GaryAkers.com.
