The Monday night blues series at Time Out Pub, 275 Main St., will continue Monday, July 8, from 7 to 10 p.m. with Pecka Norstedt & the 300dB Band from Sweden. Admission is $10.

The 300dB Band hails from Avesta, a town twice the size of Rockland in Sweden’s Dalarna Province. The cover band plays everything from bluegrass, Celtic and pop to hard rock and will be bringing its blues chops to town as part of a New England tour. In addition to singing, frontwoman Norstedt plays harmonica, guitar and violin.

The band attended the city’s North Atlantic Blues Festival last year, and festival co-founder and -producer Paul Benjamin met Norstedt in Memphis at the International Blued Challenge. According to the band’s hometown newspaper, band members are excited about playing the nearby pub during festival week.

The Monday series takes a break July 15, as Benjamin will be tying up the loose ends from this year’s blues fest, Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14, in Harbor Park. The great Mavis Staples caps an 11-act lineup; Benjamin has always said, “All the festival performers are headliners.”

The last day to purchase discounted advance tickets is Monday, July 8. Advance blues festival tickets are $25 for either day or $50 for the full weekend, available online at northatlanticbluesfestival.com or at Huston-Tuttle, Rockland; and HAV II, Camden. Tickets at the gate will be $35/$70 at gate; admission at gate for children 6 to 12 will be $5, free for those younger.
