The Rockland Women’s Golf Association seeks golfers and business sponsors for the third annual Midcoast Breast Cancer Classic Golf Tournament. The co-ed, shotgun start tournament will be held Friday, Aug. 16 at the Rockland Golf Club, 606 Old County Road.

The tournament proceeds support the Midcoast Breast Cancer Support Fund at Pen Bay Healthcare. The fund provides Midcoast residents with financial assistance for breast cancer items or services. Last year, more than $16,000 was raised to support local women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer with the help of the Midcoast Breast Cancer Support Fund and the generosity of local businesses, individual sponsors and participants.

Business sponsorship levels range from $100 Tee Level to $1,500 Eagle Level, with additional sponsorship categories to suit businesses of all sizes. Pen Bay Healthcare gratefully acknowledges: Fuller Chevrolet-GMC (Hole-in-one Sponsor), The First, N.A. (Bogie Sponsor) and The Free Press (Media sponsor). Sponsors will be recognized according to their donation level, which may include tournament signage, promotional materials, mention in event PR and at the event.

The Midcoast Breast Cancer Classic is a four-player scramble, open to both men and women, that begins at 9 a.m. The $100 per player fee includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, gift bags, prizes and fun. There will be raffles and prizes will be awarded to the top men’s, women’s and mixed teams. Sandbagger’s Cafe will provide a delicious lunch at the club.
