A metal sculpture by Carole Whelan of Hope has been installed in the University of New England’s 2013 Sculpture Garden Invitational Exhibit. “Garden Interlude” is from Whelan’s continuing “Tableaux” series, which depicts a variety of figures engaged for a moment in ordinary activities. The assembled figures are made from stainless steel, galvanized steel and aluminum.

The UNE show is located on the Stevens Avenue and will continue through the summer. For more information, visit une.edu/artgallery.
