Twisted Strings will play for the monthly contra dance in the Thomaston Academy gym. This month’s Summer Solstice dance is set for Saturday, June 22, at 8 p.m.

Twisted Strings is an acoustic duo who play old and new tunes with Celtic roots. Fiddler Michele Roy and guitarist Will West, who also plays the Irish bouzouki, hail from Central Maine and travel around New England playing dances, weddings and special events. Ted Steele will call.
